Over 200 Tri-border community members turned out to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast sponsored by the JFC Brunssum chapel community and supported by scores of volunteers from the local area.

While typically considered a North American holiday and one not celebrated by many countries, the concept has been well received by our international colleagues.

In US military dining facilities around the world, senior leaders serve the meal to their junior personnel as way of saying "thanks for a job well done” and thus, single soldiers and civilians from all nations were invited to join in the festivities here.

With the number of international military participants growing over the past few years, Maj Gen (FR) Jacques Cazamea (Knowledge Management Director ) was asked to participate in the serving line this year. Along with Maj Gen (US) Joseph Reynes Jr. (Operations Director) and the US senior leaders from USAG Schinnen, Geilenkirchen AB, and JFC Brunssum the serving team happily piled the plates high with delicious turkey and ham and all the fixings.

And for those brave souls who left enough notches in the belt, a huge dessert selection awaited. Needless to say, nobody left the conference center hungry and are already looking forward to next year's event.
